Description: Jubilee coin 'Boris Liatoshynsky'. The coin is dedicated to 110th anniversary of Boris Liatoshynsky, a Ukrainian composer and a conductor; who founded his own conductor school. He had composed two operas, five symphonies, chamber music, romances, piano miniatures, etc. Weight – 12.8 g., diameter – 31.0 mm., edge – incised. Artists: Natalia Deregus-Lorens, Maryna Deregus (obverse), Boris Hrudenko (reverse); sculptor: Vladymyr Demianenko, Sviatoslav Ivanenko. Put in circulation since January 5, 2005. Mintage: 20 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

The coin is dedicated to 130th anniversary of Vladymyr P.Filatov, a famous ophthalmologist and a surgeon whose greatest discovery was a tissue therapy – a principally new medical treatment method. Vladymyr Filatov was a founder of the national scientific school of ophthalmologists, a foundation initiator and a director of Odesa scientific and research institute for eye-diseases and tissue therapy.
