Description: Souvenir '2 Hryvnias'.
On the Currency Unit of Ukraine souvenir of 2 hryvnia denomination banknote of 2004 issue Yaroslav the Wase is portrayed, an outstanding personality in the history of Kyivan Rus. His name is associated with the final formation of statehood in Rus, the golden age of building up the Kyivan state and the city of Kyiv, drafting of the first Code of Laws, the development of culture and education, strengthening of the international relations.
Face side: The portrait of Yaroslav the Wise, a Grand Kyiv Duke (1019 – 1054); on the right of the portrait there is a see-through image of the Kyivan Rus hryvnia. Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine S.L.Tigipko.
Back side: The St. Sophia Cathedral, a historical, architectural and wall painting monument of the first half of the XI century. On the right of it there is a composition of armor, household articles named 'Russkaia Pravda'.
