Description: Face side: The portrait of Hryhoriy Skovoroda (1722 – 1794), a great Ukrainian philosopher and scientist of the 18th century. The part of a see-through element – digital label of nominal value '500' is located in 'window', not occupied in printing, shaped as parallelogram. The background of a central part of the note creates an image of a fountain with an inscription 'Unequal by all equality' – author's picture of H. Skovoroda’s novel.
Back side: Image of a Kyiv-Mogilyansk Academy’s building. Above it there is a decorative element as the stamp of Kyiv-Mogilyansk Academy used in ХVІІІ century. At the left there is a graphics image of author's picture H. Skovoroda to his novel ('Pythagorean Triangle').
Dimensions: 75 х 154 mm. The predominant color is bright yellow. Serial No БК 7248901.
The banknote was printed on special beige paper with its main color corresponding to the predominant color of the banknote. It is non-fluorescent paper with a multi-tone local watermark, light watermark element, double-tone watermark (bar-code), security thread and security fibers. The note also has light watermark element; optically variable ink; rainbow printing; antiscanning grid; microtext; latent image; see-through element; invisible security fibers; fluorescent number; relief printing; security thread; magnetic number; symbol for the partially sighted; orloff ptinting.
