Bogdan Khmelnytskyi is portrayed, the leader of the national liberation movement of the Ukrainian people in the mid-XVII century, the founder of the Ukrainian state (Viisko Zaporozke), Hetman of Ukraine (1648 - 1657), the institutor of the Ukrainian Cossak Army, father of the Ukrainian diplomacy. Face side: The portrait of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine S.L.Tigipko. Back side: The Illinska (St. Elias) Church in the in the village in Cherkasy region built in 1653 as a Khmelnytskyi family vault. 999.9 silver. Dimensions: 133 x 66 x 1.35 mm. Weight – 124.4 g. Mintage: 500. Series СM, № 0263. The souvenir was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
