Description: Commemorative coin '125 Years of the National Technical University 'Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute'. 'Higher educational establishments' series. The coin is dedicated to one of the oldest technical universities where the well-known schools of mechanics, physics, materials science, aviation, nuclear physics, tank building, tractor construction, turbo sets, etc. emerged and developed, i.e. to the National Technical University 'Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute'.
Obverse: There are the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine (above), the semicircular inscription: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE), a conventionalized image of the main building (to the right) against the background whereof there are depicted the symbols of science with the face value: 2 / ГРИВНІ (2 / HRYVNIAS); to the left there are depicted the radio telescope (the glory of the research-and-development plant of the university) and the book, being the knowledge symbol, with the coin issue year indication 2010 thereunder and the logotype of the NBU Mint (below).
Reverse: There are depicted the university buildings with the portrait of V.L. Kyrpychov, the founder and first director of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, against the background of one of them, and the legends: 125 років (years) below and: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ ТЕХНІЧНИЙ УНІВЕРСИТЕТ 'ХАРКІВСЬКИЙ ПОЛІТЕХНІЧНИЙ ІНСТИТУТ' (NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY 'KHARKIV POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE') circular.
Weight – 12.8 g., diameter – 31.0 mm., edge – incised. Artist and sculptor – Vladymyr Atamanchuk.
Put in circulation since August 30, 2010. Mintage: 50 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Commemorative coin 'Ukrainian Medical Association'. The coin is dedicated to the centenary of the first nonprofit professional organization of health care providers founded in Lviv, i.e. the Ukrainian Medical Association. After resumption of its activities in 1990 under the name of All-Ukrainian Medical Association it is a united national professional organization incorporating all medical practitioners of Ukraine. The All-Ukrainian Medical Association has become a member of main European and world organizations of health care professionals.
Obverse: There are: above – the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE) and the coin issue year 2010 thereunder; in the centre there is depicted the logo of the All-Ukrainian Medical Association within the conventionalized plant ornament; below there are the coin face value: 2 / ГРИВНІ (2 / HRYVNIAS) and the NBU Mint logo (to the right).
Reverse: There is depicted the emblem of the Ukrainian Medical Association in Lviv (where the first professional organization of medical practitioners was founded) with the semicircular legends: УКРАЇНСЬКЕ ЛІКАРСЬКЕ ТОВАРИСТВО (UKRAINIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION) above and 100 РОКІВ (100 years) below.
Weight – 12.8 g., diameter – 31.0 mm., edge – incised. Artists: obverse – Vladymyr Taran, Aleksander Kharuk, Serhii Kharuk; reverse – Vladymyr Atamanchuk, sculptors: Anatolii Demianenko, Vladymyr Atamanchuk.
Put in circulation since September 24, 2010. Mintage: 35 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
