Description: Commemorative coin 'Year of Dragon'. 'Oriental Calendar' series. The coin is dedicated to the Year of a Dragon, one of the animal-symbols of the Oriental calendar, which is based on the twelve months cycle of Jupiter, the largest planet of the Solar system.
Obverse: Within setting made of a vegetable ornamentation in the primitivism technique there are inscriptions: 5 / ГРИВЕНЬ (5 / HRYVNIAS); at the top there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine and the inscription: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК / УКРАЇНИ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE); beneath: the coin issue year, the designation of metal, its weight in fineness and the NBU Mint logotype.
Reverse: There is a dragon made in a technique of a cheap popular print within a vegetable ornamentation setting (a dragon's eye is decorated with 1.5 mm orange zirconium) Both above and below it there is a depiction of contour figures of all 12 symbols of the Oriental calendar.
925 standard silver. Weight – 15.55 g., diameter – 33.00 mm., edge – incised. Artists: Vladymyr Taran, Aleksander Kharuk, Sergey Kharuk; sculptor: Vladymyr Atamanchuk.
Put in circulation since December 16, 2011. Mintage: 20 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Commemorative coin 'Yevhen Hrebinka'. Series 'Outstanding Personalities of Ukraine'. The coin is dedicated to Yevhen Pavlovych Hrebinka, a poet, prose-writer, author of numerous fables, who introduced into Ukrainian literature, inter alia, such romantic genres as romances, songs, etc., including nonpareil patterns of amorous poetry.
Obverse: There is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular legend: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE); lower there is a conventionalized composition in the center whereof there is depicted a horseman; to the right there is a fragment of a manuscript page and below – a goose-quill; thereunder there is the coin face value 5 / ГРИВЕНЬ (5 / HRYVNIAS) and to the left – the coin issue year – 2012.
Reverse: There is a portrait of Yevhen Hrebinka to the right whereof, against the background of a conventionalized manuscript page, indicated are his years of life – 1812 / 1848; to the left there is the legend: ЄВГЕН / ГРЕБІНКА (YEVHEN / HREBINKA).
925 standard silver. Weight – 15.55 g., diameter – 33.00 mm., edge – smooth with in-depth legend indicating the metal, its fineness, weight in fineness and the Mint logotype. Artist and sculptor: Sviatoslav Ivanenko.
Put in circulation since January 19, 2012. Mintage: 3 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Commemorative coin 'Oleksa Novakivskyi'. Series 'Outstanding Personalities of Ukraine'. The coin is dedicated to Oleksa Kharlampiiovych Novakivskyi (1872 – 1935), an artist, educator, one of the most famous Ukrainian colorist painters, who founded an art school in Lviv. His works feature a virtuoso manner of painting, full brush, seminal expressivity.
Obverse: Above there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the bow-shaped legend: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE) to the right; in the centre there is depicted an architectural monument, i.e. the building where the painter dwelt and worked; beneath there are the coin face value: 5 ГРИВЕНЬ (5 HRYVNIAS) and issue year 2012.
Reverse: There is a conventionalized portrait of the painter representing a fragment of O.Novakivskyi`s work 'Self-portrait with the wife' of 1910; above there is the semicircular inscription: ОЛЕКСА НОВАКІВСЬКИЙ (Oleksa Novakivskyi) and 1872 / 1935 to the left below (years of his life).
