Description: Commemorative coin '165 Years of the Lviv Polytechnic National University'. 'Higher educational establishments' series. Coin is dedicated to one of the oldest universities of technological development having glorious history, i.e. the Lviv Polytechnic National University that is a vigorous centre of science and education, a generator of ideas and inventions.
Obverse: There are depicted: the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine and the semicircular inscription: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE) (above); the allegorical sculptures that symbolize sciences and arts and are located on the university main building; the coin face value, mintage year: 5 / ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ / 2010 (5 / HRYVNIAS / 2010) and the logotype of the NBU Mint.
Reverse: There is depicted the main university building erected in the last third of the XIX-th century from the design by the architect Julian Zachariewicz. Over the edifice there is the bow-shaped inscription: LITTERIS*ET*ARTIBUS (FOR SCIENCES AND ARTS) existing on the building itself. There are also the circular inscription ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÓͲÂÅÐÑÈÒÅÒ "ËܲÂÑÜÊÀ ÏÎ˲ÒÅÕͲÊÀ" (NATIONAL UNIVERSITY "LVIV POLYTECHNIC") and the legend 165 / ÐÎʲ (165 / YEARS) below.
925 standard silver. Weight – 15.55 g., diameter – 33.00 mm., edge – smooth with in-depth designation of the metal, its weight in fineness and the NBU Mint logotype. Artist and sculptor – Anatolii Demianenko.
Put in circulation since March 28, 2010. Mintage: 5 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Commemorative coin '125 Years of the National Technical University 'Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute'. 'Higher educational establishments' series. The coin is dedicated to one of the oldest technical universities where the well-known schools of mechanics, physics, materials science, aviation, nuclear physics, tank building, tractor construction, turbo sets, etc. emerged and developed, i.e. to the National Technical University 'Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute'.
Obverse: There are the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine (above), the semicircular inscription: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE), a conventionalized image of the main building (to the right) against the background whereof there are depicted the symbols of science with the face value: 5 / ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ (5 / HRYVNIAS); to the left there are depicted the radio telescope (the glory of the research-and-development plant of the university) and the book, being the knowledge symbol, with the coin issue year indication 2010 thereunder.
Reverse: There are depicted the university buildings with the portrait of V.L. Kyrpychov, the founder and first director of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, against the background of one of them, and the legends: 125 ðîê³â (years) below and: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÒÅÕͲ×ÍÈÉ ÓͲÂÅÐÑÈÒÅÒ 'ÕÀÐʲÂÑÜÊÈÉ ÏÎ˲ÒÅÕͲ×ÍÈÉ ²ÍÑÒÈÒÓÒ' (NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY 'KHARKIV POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE') circular.

Description: Commemorative coin 'Johann Georg Pinzel'. 'Outstanding Personalities of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to Johann Georg Pinzel, a renowned sculptor of the middle of the 18th century who worked with wood and stone, a representative of the Late Baroque and Rococo and the founder of the Lviv School of Sculptors. He is shrouded in mystery as very little is known about his personage which was consigned to oblivion for 200 years. Only in recent decades, the heritage of the Master, who is named the Slavic Michelangelo by contemporary European art critics, has attracted experts and admirers’ remarkable attention. In 2011, his works will be on exhibition at the Louvre.
The ensemble of stone carvings for the Buchach City Hall and Church altar in Horodenka, the stone figure on the parapet of the St. Yura Cathedral in Lviv, great altar in the village of Hodovytsi and altar in the Parochial Church in the town of Monastyryska are just some of the Master’s great works of art.
Obverse: Above there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine against the matt background and semicircular legend: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE); against the smooth background there is 'the standard for Baroque beauty' – the Buchach City Hall to the left and right whereof there is the legend: 2010 / ÁÓ×À×; 5 / ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ / ÒÅÐÍÎϲËÜÙÈÍÀ (2010 / BUCHACH; 5 / HRYVNIAS / TERNOPIL OBLASt).
Reverse: There is the composition portraying the Master with tools in his hands standing before the sculpture of the Angel impressed by the product of his chisel; there is the circular legend: ²ÎÀÍÍ ÃÅÎÐà ϲÍÇÅËÜ, áë. 1710 – 1761 (JOHANN GEORG PINZEL, CIRCA 1710 – 1761).

Description: Commemorative coin 'Ivan Fedorov'. 'Outstanding Personalities of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to Ivan Fedorov, a prominent figure in the culture of East Slavs, well-known printing pioneer, engineer and inventor, engraver, foundry work master, who produced the first printed books in Ukraine – 'Apostol' (Acts and Epistles of the Apostles) in 1574, 'Azbuka' (an Alphabet book for East Slavs) in the same year, the Ostroh Bible in 1581.
Obverse: Above there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular legend: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE); in the centre against the background of the quill pen there is depicted the matrix plate of a page from the 'Apostol' book; beneath there are the coin face value: 5 ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ (5 HRYVNIAS) and issue year 2010.
Reverse: There is a conventionalized portrait of Ivan Fedorov; to the left of the portrait there is depicted his imprint, to the right – his life years 1510 / 1583; above there is the semicircular conventionalized inscription: ²ÂÀÍ ÔÅÄÎÐΠ(IVAN FEDOROV).
