Description: Jubilee coin '2500 Years to Balaklava'. 'Ancient cities of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to this ancient town situated in one of the districts of the city of Sevastopol.
Obverse: Ancient Greek trading ships are depicted, between them in the centre there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, under which there is a two-lines inscription 5 ГРИВЕНЬ within the frame of an ornamental composition made of acanthus leaves and vines; besides there is the Mint logo of the NBU. Above there is УКРАЇНА inscription, under which – 2004, the coin min year.
Reverse: In the upper part of the coin field the Balaklava bay is depicted; to the right – sailing ships, to the left – the coat of arms of the town of Balaklava; in the lower part of the coin field there is a column and two anchors, found during archeological excavations; above there is a semicircular inscription: 2500 РОКІВ БАЛАКЛАВІ.
Weight – 16.54 g., diameter – 35.0 mm., edge – incised. Artist: Boris Hrudenko; sculptor: Sviatoslav Ivanenko.
Put in circulation since March 24, 2004. Mintage: 30 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Jubilee coin '50 years of the State Design Office 'Pivdenne'. The coin is dedicated to the state design office 'Pivdenne', which was founded on April 10, 1954 in the city of Dnipropetrovsk. About 70 types of space vehicles developed at the design office 'Pivdenne' enabled to conduct space researches within the frame of both national and international projects.
Obverse: There is a depiction of a space satellite orbit above one part of the globe, upon the background of which there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and four-line inscriptions: 2004, УКРАЇНА, 5 ГРИВЕНЬ, as well as the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: Reverse there is a depiction of a crescent (left) and a space vehicle, above there are semicircular inscriptions: КБ 'ПІВДЕННЕ' and 50 РОКІВ – below in two-lines.

Description: Commemorative coin 'AN-140 Aircraft'. 'Airplaines of Ukraine' series. Сoins are dedicated to a new generation aircraft for transporting both air travellers and up to 6 tons cargo. AN-140 aircraft performed its first flight in 2002. It is in serial production at Kharkiv aircraft factory.
Obverse: At the centre of the beads circle there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine placed within the frame of allegoric composition made of sun, conventionalized wing, birds and stars which is the incarnation of the dream of mankind to reach outer space, and circular inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2004, 5, ГРИВЕНЬ and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: There is a depiction of AN-140 aircraft and there are circular inscriptions between the coin external rim and the beads circle: ЛІТАКИ УКРАЇНИ (above), АН-140 and AN-140 (beneath); between them there is AN logo.

Description: Jubilee coin '50 years of Crimea Joining Ukraine'. The coin is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Crimea joining Ukraine. In February 1954 the Crimean region was attached to UkSSR. On April 24, 1992 it was renamed for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Obverse: Upon the background of а map of Ukraine there is a depiction of a sheaf consisted of 25 spikelets tied up with a jute, which symbolizes Ukraine. In the centre on the foreground there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, to the left under the map – the coin mintage year, to the right beneath – КРИМ inscription. On the coin there are semicircular inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (above), 5 ГРИВЕНЬ (beneath) and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: In the centre the Coat of arms of the the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is depicted, beneath – a bunch of grapes; the external and internal circles are linked with a jute, along the external circle there is a circular inscription: ВХОДЖЕННЯ КРИМУ ДО СКЛАДУ УКРАЇНИ, above in two lines – 50 РОКІВ.
Bimetal. Metal of insert – nordic; metal of ring – cupronickel. Weight – 9.5 g., diameter – 28.0 mm., edge – with milled sectors. Artist: Larysa Koren'; sculptor: Vladymyr Demianenko.
Put in circulation since April 28, 2004. Mintage: 30 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Jubilee coin '50 Years of Ukraine Membership in UNESCO'. Ukraine is a member of the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) since May 12, 1954, and since 1962, the Permanent mission of Ukraine at the UNESCO functions in Paris.
Obverse: There depicted the following: within the internal circle upon the background of a conventionalized ornamental pattern there is the small State emblem of Ukraine, above which – 2004, the coin mintage year; within the external circle – inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 5, ГРИВЕНЬ and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: Within the internal circle upon the background of a conventionalized ornamental pattern there is the UNESCO logo; within the external circle there are inscriptions: 50 РОКІВ УКРАЇНИ В ЮНЕСКО, 50 YEARS OF UKRAINE IN UNESCO.
