Description: Commemorative coin '165th Anniversary of the Astronomical Observatory of Kyiv National University'. The coin is dedicated to one of the oldest actively operating scientific, educational and cultural institutions of Ukraine. Therein for the first time the geographic coordinates of Kyiv were precisely determined, and in the period of 1845-1884, before the Greenwich Meridian was chosen as the zero-longitude reference line, the Kyiv Meridian passed thereat.
Obverse: There are depicted: the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine and the semicircular inscription: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE) (above); the observatory building erected after the plans of V.Beretti together with the pavilion through which the Kyiv Meridian passed; thereunder there are the inscriptions ÀÑÒÐÎÍÎ̲×ÍÀ ÎÁÑÅÐÂÀÒÎÐ²ß / ÊȯÂÑÜÊÎÃÎ ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÎÃÎ / ÓͲÂÅÐÑÈÒÅÒÓ / ²ÌÅͲ ÒÀÐÀÑÀ ØÅÂ×ÅÍÊÀ, 5 ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ / 2010 (ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY / OF THE KYIV NATIONAL / UNIVERSITY / NAMED AFTER TARAS SHEVCHENKO, 5 HRYVNIAS / 2010) and the logotype of the NBU (to the right).
Reverse: There are depicted: a unique specimen of the astronomical equipment, i.e. the meridian circle installed in 1872; conventionalized night sky and the semicircular legend to the left: ÊȯÂÑÜÊÈÉ ÌÅÐÈIJÀÍ – 1845 (KYIV MERIDIAN – 1845).
Weight – 16.54 g., diameter – 35.0 mm., edge – incised. Artists: Vladymyr Taran, Aleksandr Kharuk, Serhii Kharuk, sculptors: Anatolii Demianenko, Vladymyr Atamanchuk.

Description: Jubilee coin '925 years of the City of Lutsk'. 'Ancient cities of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to one of the oldest cities of Ukraine mentioned for the first time in the Hypatian Codex under 1085. Lutsk was the capital of an appanage principality forming a part of Volhynia and later on of Galicia (Halych)-Volhynia. The city is beautified by an outstanding architectural monument of Volhynia, the masonry High Castle founded by Lubart (Liubartas), the last prince of Galicia-Volhynia, in the XIV-th century.
Obverse: Above there are: the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine and the semicircular legend: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE); there is depicted the Main Entrance Tower of the Castle being the most prominent landmark of the city; to the left there is the coin face value 5 ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ (5 HRYVNIAS); the coin issue year indication 2010 and the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint are on the right.
Reverse: There is depicted the city panorama as it is viewed from the height of the Castle Main Entrance Tower; over it there is the Coat of Arms of the city; below, against the dark background, there are the legends: 925 / ÐÎʲ / ËÓÖÜÊ (925 / YEARS / LUTSK).

Description: Commemorative coin 'Spas'. 'Ritual Holidays of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to one of the major Orthodox feasts – the Transfiguration of Jesus (in common parlance – Spas, i.e. the Savior’s Feast) when grapes, apples, honey and other food are blessed by sprinkling with holy water.
Obverse: Above there are the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine and the semicircular legend: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE); in the centre there is the composition symbolizing the Savior’s Feast and consisting of an honeycomb frame against an amulet bunch of flowers with a sunflower above; to the left and right thereof there are depicted conventionalized cornucopias replete with apples, pears, grapes, etc.; below there are the legends: 5 / ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ / 2010 (5 HRYVNIAS) together with the NBU Mint logo.
Reverse: There is the multi-figure composition of peasants in preparation for the act of blessing the gifts of nature with holy water; below there is a beehive; above there are the symbol of the Transfiguration of Jesus and the bow-shaped inscription: ÑÂßÒÎ ÑÏÀÑÀ (FEAST OF SPAS).

Description: Commemorative coin 'Weaver'. 'Folk Crafts of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to the weaving that was one of the most important economic activities of Ukrainian peasantry households and an element of the art and culture of Ukrainians. On the territory of Ukraine from the earliest times processed have been the fibres from flax, hemp and wool.
Obverse: Above there are the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine and the conventionalized legend: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE) thereunder; in the centre there are depicted in a conventionalized manner two cockerels and (to the left of them) the spinning wheel, and (to the right) – weaving products; below there are the legends: 5 / ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ / 2010 (5 HRYVNIAS) together with the NBU Mint logo.
Reverse: There is depicted a woman working at the loom. Above, against the background of a conventionalized linen, there is the legend: ÒÊÀËß (WOMAN WEAVER). To the left and right of the central composition there are ornamental flower patterns.

Description: Commemorative coin 'Potter'. 'Folk Crafts of Ukraine' series. The commemorative coin is dedicated to the pottery that was one of the most important types of economic activities and artistic culture of Ukrainians; the pottery during many centuries was before others among the peasantry crafts and absorbed the technical skills and artistic traditions existing since the Neolithic Age.
Obverse: Above there are the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine and the conventionalized legend: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE) thereunder; in the centre there are depicted in a conventionalized manner two little birds and (to the left and right of them) different potteries; below there are the legends: 5 / ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ / 2010 (5 HRYVNIAS) together with the NBU Mint logo.
Reverse: There is depicted a potter at work against the background of conventionalized potteries. Above, there is the legend: ÃÎÍ×ÀÐ (POTTER). To the left and right of the central composition there are ornamental flower patterns.
