Description: Commemorative coin 'Ukrainian Pysanka'. Series 'Ritual Festivals of Ukraine'. The coin is dedicated to pysanka-making art (Easter egg decoration) being a striking example of creative work in Ukrainian traditional art and having peculiar ornamentation patterns and scales of colors in each ethnographic region of Ukraine.
Obverse: Above there are the Small National Emblem of Ukraine (on the left) and conventionalized legend ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE) and a fragment of a pysanka with the ornamentation pattern peculiar to Central Ukraine, below – there are the coin face value 5 ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ (5 HRYVNIAS) and issue year 2009 together with a fragment of a pysanka having the ornamentation patterns typical of the western regions of Ukrainel.
Reverse: There is depicted an Easter still life – on the rushnyk (embroidered towel characteristic of Ukraine) there is a paska (Easter bread) with a candle thereon encircled with eggs. Over them there is the conventionalized legend ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÑÜÊÀ ÏÈÑÀÍÊÀ (UKRAINIAN PYSANKA); above there is a pysanka between the pysanka ornamentation patterns: on the left – peculiar to Lemkivshchyna (Lemkos inhabited area) and Priashivshchyna (Presov Region), on the right – proper to Bukovina and Hutsulshchyna (Hutsuls inhabited districts).
Weight – 16.54 g., diameter – 35.0 mm., edge – incised. Artists: Vladymyr Taran, Aleksandr Kharuk, Serhii Kharuk, sculptors: Anatolii Demianenko, Vladymyr Demianenko.

Description: Jubilee coin '600 Years of Taras Shevcenko National Museum'. The coin is dedicated to T.H. Shevchenko National Museum, one of the largest museums of Ukraine dealing with literature and art. Within the museum collection there are kept originals of Great Kobzar’s artistic works, manuscripts of his poetry, editions of Shevchenko’s writings issued in his lifetime with his autographs, photos, memorial objects, almost all editions of poet’s works, literature on studies of his creative work, etc.
Obverse: Above there is the Small National Emblem of Ukraine with the semicircular legend ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE), in the centre – the composition consisting of museum exhibits, in the foreground whereof there are 'Kateryna' painting and a bandura; on the right of them there are the logotype of the NBU Mint, coin issue year 2009 and the bow-shaped legend 5 ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ (5 HRYVNIAS) thereunder.
Reverse: Against the background of the building, an architectural monument of the first half of the 19th century, where the museum collection is located, there are T.H. Shevchenko’s portrait and inscriptions ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÌÓÇÅÉ (NATIONAL MUSEUM) above, ÒÀÐÀÑÀ / ØÅÂ×ÅÍÊÀ / 60 / ÐÎʲ (OF TARAS / SHEVCHENKO / 60 / YEARS) against the relief background.

Description: Jubilee coin '225 Years of Simferopol'. Series 'Ancient cities of Ukraine'.
The coin is dedicated to the capital of the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea, an administrative and cultural centre, the city of Simferopol (in Greek – city of common good). The city is situated in the Salhir River valley on the natural border between the mountainous and plain Crimea. The city development started in 1784, but a part of the valley where the city is located had been populated from the earliest times.
Obverse: There is depicted Simferopol’s main railway station being the 'visiting card' of the city; above there are: the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine and the legends thereunder: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE), 5 ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ (5 HRYVNIAS), 2009 and the logotype of the NBU Mint (on the right).
Reverse: Against the background of the city development plan of 1768 there are depicted two architectural monuments of the XXth century beginning, the city coat of arms between them and the legends thereunder: 225 / ÐÎʲ (years) within the laurel wreath and ѲÌÔÅÐÎÏÎËÜ (SIMFEROPOL) below, bow-shaped.

Description: Commemorative coin 'Bokorash'. The coin is dedicated to the profession of the timber-floater or raftsman (in Ukrainian vernacular – bokorash) which required uncommon strength and skill. The logging was carried out in Polesia (Polissia) and in the Carpathians where this craft was widespread till the 50-ies of the last century.
Obverse: There are depicted the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine (above) with the conventionalized inscription: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE) thereunder, conventionalized images of two birds in the centre and Carpathian landscapes to the left and to the right with spruces, cottages and logs; below there are the legends: 5 / ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ / 2009 (5 HRYVNIAS).
Reverse: There is depicted the figure of a bokorash with a tsapyna (pole) in the hands which is directing the raft downstream, on either side of him there are traditional Carpathian ornamental patterns; above, against the background in the form of a log butt end there is the legend ÁÎÊÎÐÀØ (BOKORASH).

Description: Jubilee coin '60 years of the Council of Europe'. The coin is dedicated to an intergovernmental regional organization whose purpose is development of cooperation between the member countries on the basis of common principles and ideals as well as support of their economic and social progress. Ukraine became a member of the Council of Europe in November of 1995.
Obverse: Within the inner circle framed by five-pointed stars there is depicted the map of Europe, under the upper star there is indicated the coin issue year 2009; on the outer ring there are the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine above and semicircular legends ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE), Ï’ßÒÜ ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ (FIVE HRYVNIAS) below and the logotype of the NBU Mint.
Reverse: Within the inner circle there are the logotype of the Council of Europe and the inscription 1949 / Ð²Ê (1949 / YEAR); on the outer ring there are the inscriptions COUNCIL OF EUROPE, CONSEIL DE EUROPE, ÐÀÄÀ ªÂÐÎÏÈ (below).
Bimetal. Metal of insert – nordic; metal of ring – cupronickel. Weight – 9.5 g., diameter – 28.0 mm., edge – with milled sectors. Artist and sculptor – Sviatoslav Ivanenko.
