Description: Commemorative coin 'Our Soul Does Not Die...' 'Spiritual Treasures of Ukraine' series. The coin is issued on the occasion of 190th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko, an outstanding Ukrainian poet (1814 – 1861) and is made on motives of his poems.
Obverse: In the centre there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine is depicted on the background of a rushnyk (towel) with an ornamentation holographic depiction (left); to the right from the Emblem there are mallow flowers. Above there is a half-circular inscription: УКРАЇНА, beneath in three lines – 20 ГРИВЕНЬ 2004, as well as designation of metal, its pure weight and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: There is a portrait of Taras Shevchenko with facsimile is depicted, on both sides from the portrait there is a composition resembling wings – characters of his poems on the background of trees and half-circular inscriptions: above – НЕ ВМИРАЄ ДУША НАША, beneath – НЕ ВМИРАЄ ВОЛЯ.
925 standard silver. Weight – 62.2 g., diameter – 50.0 mm., edge – sectoral riffling. Artist and sculptor: Roman Chaikovskyi.
Put in circulation since January 30, 2004. Mintage: 4 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Commemorative coin 'Games of the XXVIII Olympic Games'. 'Sports' series. The coin is dedicated to the Olympic Games which is to take place in Athens in July 2006. Ancient Greek Olympic Games in honour of Zeus took place every four years since 776 B.C. till 394 A.D. For the period of the Games all wars were terminated and peace was made. The present Olympic Games are held since 1896 and the first one took place in Athens.
Obverse: Within a square a Greek girl dressed in a tunic is depicted who is holding a cup with the holographic flame in her right hand and an Olive-tree twig, an ancient symbol of peaceableness – in her right. Above the square there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and УКРАЇНА inscription, under the square – 20 ГРИВЕНЬ; on both square sides upon the background of the antique meander-line ornamentation designation of metal, its pure weight, the Mint logo of the NBU (left) and 2004, the coin mintage year (right).
Reverse: There depicted representatives of various kinds of sport, in the middle – a cup with the flame which is burning for the whole period of the Olympic Games. Around the square there are the following inscriptions: ІГРИ / XXVIII ОЛІМПІАДИ (above), OLYMPIC GAMES / XXVIII (beneath), АФІНИ 2004 (left), ATHENS 2004 (right).
