Description: Commemorative coin 'AN-225 'Mria' Aircraft'. The coin is launch a new series 'Airplanes of Ukraine' which is to reflect half a century activities of Antonov aircraft scientific and engineering complex, as well as achievements of modern Ukrainian aircraft construction. The coin is dedicated to a unique wide-body and heavy-weight aircraft for transporting overall heavy cargo up to 250 tons weight. The first flight of this aircraft took place in 1988.
Obverse: In a bead circle there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine within a frame of allegoric composition of the sun, a conventionalized wing; birds (to the right) and stars which embody the dream of the mankind to reach space heights. There are also circular inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2002, 5, ГРИВЕНЬ and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: There is a depiction of the heavy-weight aircraft over take-off and landing strip as well as circular inscriptions: ЛІТАКИ УКРАЇНИ (AIRPLANES OF UKRAINE) – above and АН-225 'МРІЯ' (beneath); between these inscriptions there is the 'АН' logotype.

Description: Jubilee coin '1000 Years of Khotyn'. The coin is dedicated to a town of Bukovyna situated on a high Dnister bank, which in 10 – 11th centuries belonged to Kyivan Rus and since the second half of 12th century formed a part of Halych and Volyn principality. Its 1st fortifications and a stone church were constructed yet in 1250 – 1264, in the period of Danyla of Halych. Khotyn is famous through the victorious military campaign of 1621 when the Cossack army headed by Petro Sahaidachny and Polish army met here for a battle against Turkish and Tartar forces.
Obverse: Within an arch opening of the brick fortress wall decorated with geometric ornamentation there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, some Cossacks attributes (flags, horns, drums, pikes, muskets, cannons and balls) and inscriptions: УКРАЇНА / 2002 / 5 / ГРИВЕНЬ, as well as the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: There is a depiction of a mighty structure of Khotyn fortress (XIII – XVIII centuries), an unsurpassed monument of fortification art, above which there is the town coat of arms is depicted and circular inscriptions: ХОТИН 1000 РОКІВ (1000 YEARS OF KHOTYN).

Description: Jubilee coin 'The Town of Romny (Romen) – 1100 years old'. The coin is dedicated to an ancient fortress-town which defended eastern boarders of Kyivan Rus against the hordes of Polovtsy. The first mention of the town was made in Lavrentiv chronicles among the entries for the year 1096. At present it is a district centre of Summy region, situates at the right bank of Soula river.
Obverse: There is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the conventionalized inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2002 (above) and 5, ГРИВЕНЬ (beneath). There also depicted some conventionalized flowers on a cock which are embroidery elements of Summy region, as well as the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: At the upper part of the coin field and between the circular inscriptions: РОМЕН – РОМНИ (ROMNY – ROMEN) there depicted an ancient and a modern town coat of arms on the background of a baroque frame with the inscription: 1100 / РОКІВ; at the lower part of the coin field there is a coalesced depiction of architectural monuments and modern structures.

Description: Jubilee coin '350 years of the Battle by Batih'. The coin is dedicated to the victory of Ukrainian army by the battle of Batih in the course of liberation war between the Ukrainian-Tartar army headed by Bohdan Khmelnitskiy and the Polish army headed by M.Kalinovskiy. The battle took place on 1 – 2 June, 1652 on the left bank of the Southern Bouh river close to Batih mountain (near the village of Chetvertynivka of Trostianets distrikt in Vinnitsa region).
Obverse: There is a depiction of the general for this series composition symbolizing the national idea of Unification of Ukraine: the emblematic figures of the Holy Michael Archistrategos, the patron of Kiev and the crowned lion of L'viv principality hold the Small State Emblem of Ukraine. There are as well conventionalized inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2002, 5 ГРИВЕНЬ and the Mint logo of the NBU. Jubilee coins of 5 Hryvnias denomination is dedicated to the outstanding victory of Ukrainian army by the battle of Batih in the course of liberation war between the Ukrainian-Tartar army headed by Bohdan Khmelnitskiy and the Polish army headed by M.Kalinovskiy. Description: Jubilee coin '70th Anniversary of Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Station'. The coin is dedicated to 70th anniversary of putting into operation the first and the largest hydroelectric power station of Dnipro cascade (Zaporizhzhia), built in 1927 – 1932. The construction of the first Ukrainian power station was of great importance for development of metalurgical industry, mechanical engineering and agriculture.
Obverse: Within the internal ring there are depicted: a turbine with the engine room arch of the power station, the small State Emblem of Ukraine, the coin mintage year – 2002, and the Mint logo of the NBU. Within the external ring there are circular inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 5 ГРИВЕНЬ.
Reverse: Within the internal ring there is a depiction of the dam and the building-1 of the power station; in external ring there are circular inscriptions: ДНІПРОГЕС, 70 РОКІВ (70TH ANNIVERSARY OF DNIPRO HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION).
Bimetal. Metal of insert – nordic; metal of ring – cupronickel. Weight – 9,5 g., diameter – 28.0 mm., edge – with milled sectors. Artists and sculptor: Sviatoslav Ivanenko.
Put in circulation since October 2, 2002. Mintage: 30 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
