Description: Jubilee coin '10 years of Ukraine Independence'. The coin is dedicated to the 10th Anniversary of adoption of the Act on Ukraine Independence by Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on August 24, 1991.
Obverse: Within the beads circumference there is a depiction of a crowned with a wreath composition, embodying the idea of Ukraine unification: the small State Emblem of Ukraine enframed with a vegetable ornamentation is supported by a lion and a Cossack holding a musket. Around the coin circumference there are inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 20 ГРИВЕНЬ, 2001 р., as well as designation of metal, its weight and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: Within the beads circumference upon the background of the map of Ukraine there is a depiction of the structure of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and circular inscriptions: 10 РОКІВ НЕЗАЛЕЖНОСТІ УКРАЇНИ, 1991 · 2001 (10 YEARS OF UKRAINE INDEPENDENCE, 1991 · 2001).
925 standard silver. Weight – 62.2 g., diameter – 48.4 mm., edge – sector incised. Artists: Aleksander Ivakhnenko; sculptor: Vladymyr Demyanenko.
Put in circulation since August 20, 2001. Mintage: 1 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
