COMMEMORATIVE AND JUBILEE SILVER 20 HRYVNIAS COINS ISSUED IN 2009.

Description: Commemorative coin 'Ukrainian Pysanka'. Series 'Ritual Festivals of Ukraine'. The coin is dedicated to pysanka-making art (Easter egg decoration) being a striking example of creative work in Ukrainian traditional art and having peculiar ornamentation patterns and scales of colors in each ethnographic region of Ukraine.
Obverse: Above there are the Small National Emblem of Ukraine and semicircular inscription НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE), below there are the coin face value 20 ГРИВЕНЬ (20 HRYVNIAS) and issue year 2009 together with the composition of pysanky on which the vegetational and geometrical ornamentation patterns peculiar to different regions of Ukraine prevail.
Reverse: The coin circumference is decorated with a pysanka-like ornamentation pattern whose inner contour line forms the egg in the middle whereof there is a composition – a woman (pysanka maker) ornamenting an egg and a sitting girl observing her.
925 standard silver. Weight – 62.2 g., diameter – 50.0 mm., edge – plain with the designation of precious metal, its pure weight and and the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
Artists and sculptors: Anatolii Demianenko, Vladymyr Atamanchuk.
Put in circulation since April 16, 2009. Mintage: 8 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Jubilee coin '70th Anniversary of Proclamation of the Republic of Carpatho-Ukraine'. Series 'Rebirth of Ukrainian Statehood'. The coin is dedicated to the 1938 – 1939 events related to proclamation and armed defence of the Republic of Carpatho-Ukraine whose short existence period has become one of the brightest pages in the centuries-old struggle of the Carpathian Ukrainians for the Ukrainian statehood establishment.
Obverse: There are depicted carpets with the traditional Carpathian ornamentation patterns together with the Small State Emblem of Ukraine (above) and the semicircular legend НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE) on the right; below there are the face value 20 / ГРИВЕНЬ (20 / HRYVNIAS) and the coin issue year 2009.
Reverse: There is depicted a Transcarpathian holding a flag with the coat of arms of Carpatho-Ukraine; there are the legend: 70 / РОКІВ (70 / YEARS) under the flag and the semicircular inscription on the left: ПРОГОЛОШЕННЯ КАРПАТСЬКОЇ УКРАЇНИ (PROCLAMATION OF THE CARPATHIAN UKRAINE).
