Description: Jubilee coin 'Bilgorod-Dnistrovskiy'. The coin is dedicated to 2500 anniversary of the city, which was founded in 6th century B.C, by ancient Greeks as the state city Tiara and which was the principal economic and cultural center of the Northern Black Sea Region. The town struck gold, silver and copper coins.
Obverse: Within the frame of the old Greek ornament and the heraldic cartouche there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine and the conventionalized inscriptions: 2000, УКРАЇНА, 5, ГРИВЕНЬ, as well as the first logotype depiction of National Bank of Ukraine's Mint.
Reverse: At its upper part there is the picture of Akerman fortress of the 15th century from the Citadel and Commandant Tower side and on its lower part there is the half-circular depiction of Akerman's emblem among the Tiara coins of the 4th century B.C. – 3d century A.C., as well as the conventionalized inscriptions БІЛГОРОД-ДНІСТРОВСЬКИЙ (BILGOROD-DNISTROVSKIY) and 2500 РОКІВ (2500 YEARS).
Weight – 16.54 g., diameter – 35.0 mm., edge – incised. Artist and sculptor: Vladymyr Demyanenko.
Put in circulation since May 29, 2000. Mintage: 50 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Commemorative coin 'Baptizing of Rus'. The coin is dedicated to the official introduction of Christianity as the state religion. Volodymyr the Great and his nearest milieu adopted Christianity at the beginning of 988. In Spring that year the kievites were baptized. It initiated the process of baptizing of the whole country.
Obverse: Between two angel figures there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: УКРАЇНА and 5 ГРИВЕНЬ, 2000, as well as the Mint logo on all coins.
Reverse: In the foreground there is a cruciform composition depicting Prince Volodymyr-the Baptist on the background of the scene of kievites baptizing and the conventionalized inscription: ХРЕЩЕННЯ РУСІ (BAPTIZING OF RUS).
Weight – 16.54 g., diameter – 35.0 mm., edge – incised. Artist and sculptor: Roman Chaikovskiy.
Put in circulation since October 16, 2000. Mintage: 100 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Jubilee coin '100 Years of L'viv Opera and Ballet Theatre'. The coin is dedicated to the L'viv state academic opera and ballet theatre named after Ivan Franko, one of the outstanding centers of Ukrainian opera and ballet school.
Obverse: There are depicted: the small State Emblem of Ukraine, the image of lyre between the Comedy and the Tragedy sculptors decorating the theatre interior, the Mint logo and inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2000, 5, ГРИВЕНЬ.
Reverse: There is a depiction of the theatre building and circular inscriptions: ЛЬВІВСЬКИЙ ТЕАТР ОПЕРИ ТА БАЛЕТУ and 100, РОКІВ (100 YEARS OF L'VIV OPERA AND BALLET THEATRE).

Description: Commemorative coin '2600 years of Kerch'. The coin commemorates 2600 years of the town of Kerch founded in the 6th century DC by ancient Greeks as Panticapaeum (the capital of the Kingdom of Bosporus 5th – 4th centuries BC). Due to the good geopolitical location the town was a center of the trade, culture and crafts, if also struck its own coins.
Obverse: At its upper part there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine; on the background of the Mitrydat hill there is a bracelet made of archeological finds of Kul-Oba burial mound; on the hill both sides there are conventionalized depictions of Black and Azov Seas, as well as inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2000, 5, ГРИВЕНЬ and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: At the center there is a depiction of the ionic order column, a monument in the city of Kerch; above the column there are coins of Pantikapeus, on the column left side on the background of a city landscape there is a church of John the Baptist, the monument of 10 – 14th century; on the column right side there are staircase leading to Mitrydat and semicircular inscriptions: КЕРЧ 2600 (KERCH 2600).

Description: Commemorative coin 'On the verge of Millennium'. The coin marks a transition from the second into the third millennium, with which people of the world connect their hopes for peace, understanding between the nations, better life in which prosperity and consent will prevail.
Obverse: On the background of a mirror there is a depiction of the vivid three-petal ornamental pattern, formed by three semicircles, symbolizing the triunion of the past, the present and the future. In the middle of this ornamental pattern there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine. Among the petals of this ornamental pattern there are circular inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 5, ГРИВЕНЬ, 2000 and the logo of the Mint of the National bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: There is a conventionalized figure of a sower, walking along a tillage and sowing the seeds of all 'reasonable, good and eternal' for those people who are to live in the next millennium. Around the circle there is an inscription: НА МЕЖІ ТИСЯЧОЛІТЬ (ON THE VERGE OF MILLENNIUM).
Bimetal. Metal of insert – 'golden Nordic'; metal of ring – cupronickel. Weight – 9.5 g., diameter – 28.0 mm., edge – with milled sectors. Artist and sculptor: Roman Chaikovsky.
Put in circulation since December 28, 2000. Mintage: 50 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
