SILVER COINS OF 'THIRD REICH' (1933 – 1939).
Monetary system: 1 Reichsmark = 100 Reichspfennig.
Coins in circulation: 2 and 5 Reichsmark.
All coins of the Weimar republic in 1937 – 1939 were withdrawn from circulation, were not in circulation in occupied territory of Ukraine and Crimea.
Silver coins of the Weimar republic of 3 Reichsmark denomination has been withdrawn from circulation since September 30, 1934; coins of 1 and 5 Reichsmark denomination –since March 31, 1937; coins of 2 Reichsmark denomination – since December 31, 1939.

Material: Silver
Description: The jubilee coin is dedicated to 450-th Anniversary of the birth of Martin Luther. Martin Luther (November 10, 1483 – February 18, 1546) was a German monk, theologian, and church reformer. He is sometimes considered to be the founder of Protestantism.
Obverse: In the center of the coin there is the arms – the eagle, wings down. Above it there is the semicircular inscription: DEUTSCHES REICH, below – the coin face value: 2 REICHSMARK. Below the arms there is mint mark 'A' (variants: A, D, E, F, G, J).
Reverse: The portrait of Martin Luther. Above which there is a semicircular inscription: MARTIN LUTHER, below – the date of jubilee.
625 standard silver. Diameter – 25 mm. Weight – 8.00 g., edge thickness – 2.0 mm. Edge: lettering from M. Luther’s hymn: EIN FESTE BURG IST UNSER GOTT. Mintage: 542 000. Mint mark – Berlin (A).

Description: The jubilee coin is dedicated to Anniversary of coming to power of a national socialist party of Germany led by A. Hitler.
Obverse: In the center of the coin there is the arms – the eagle, wings down and the coin issue year. Above it there is the semicircular inscription: DEUTSCHES REICH, below – the coin face value: 2 REICHSMARK, separated from figures two images of swastikas.
Reverse: Military church in Potsdam, constructed by F. Gerlah in 1735, on both sides from church date: March, 21 – 1933. On both sides from of year – images of swastikas. Below there is mint mark 'A' (variants: A, D, E, F, G, J).
625 standard silver. Diameter – 25 mm. Weight – 8.00 g., edge thickness – 2.0 ìì. Edge: lettering GEMEINNUTZ GEHT VOR EIGENNUTZ. Mintage: 502 000. Mint mark – Stuttgart (F).

Description: The jubilee coin is dedicated to 175-th Anniversary of the birth of Friedrich von Schiller. Friedrich von Schiller (Marbach am Neckar, November 10, 1759 – May 9, 1805 in Weimar) was a German poet, philosopher, historian, and dramatist.
Obverse: In the center of the coin there is the arms – the eagle, wings down, on both sides from it – oak leaves with acorns. Above it there is the semicircular inscription: DEUTSCHES REICH, below – the coin face value: 2 REICHSMARK.
Reverse: The portrait of Friedrich von Schiller. Above it there is the semicircular inscription: FRIEDRICH SCHILLER, below – the years of jubilee: 1759 – 1934, separated from inscription two images of oak leaves.
625 standard silver. Diameter – 25 mm. Weight – 8.00 g., edge thickness – 2.0 mm. Edge: lettering ANS VATERLAND ANS TEURE SCHLIESS DICH AN. Mintage: 300 000. (Only mint mark – Stuttgart (F).

Description: Obverse: In the center of the coin there is the arms – the eagle with open wings holds in paws a wreath from oak leaves with a swastika. In the bottom there is the semicircular inscription: DEUTSCHES REICH. 1939, below – the coin face value: 2 REICHSMARK.
Reverse: The portrait of Paul von Hindenburg. Paul von Hindenburg (October 2, 1847 – August 2, 1934) was a German field marshal and statesman, president of Weimar republic in 1925 – 1934. On the left – his years of life: 1847 – 1934, on the right – inscription: PAUL VON HINDENBURG. Below the years of life – there is mint mark 'A' (variants: A, Â, D, E, F, G, J).
625 standard silver. Diameter – 25 mm. Weight – 8.00 g., edge thickness – 2.0 mm. Edge: lettering GEMEINNUTZ GEHT VOR EIGENNUTZ. Mintage: 26 855 000. Mint mark – Berlin (A).
This type of coin has been struck in 1936 – 1939.
