In 1946 were introduced by the Narodowy Bank Polski for 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000 z?otych and 1000 z?otych. 20, 100, 500 and 1000 z?otych of new design were added in 1947.

Description: Face side: 3/4 of right side of the background is ornamented. The left and the right there is the vertical ornamented pattern with face value 1 in circle vignette and ornamented pattern. In the upper part of the note there is the inscription: NARODOWY BANK POLSKI. In the center there is the face value 1, over it there is the face value in two lines: JEDEN ZŁOTY, beneath there is the text: WARSAWA 15 MAJA 1946 ROKU and three signatures of The Bank of Poland directorate. In the left allonge there is face value 1 in vignette.
Back side: 3/4 of left side of the background is ornamented. In the center there is the circle vignette with face value JEDEN 1 ZŁOTY. Above it – face value JEDEN ZŁOTY. In the bottom part of the note there is issuer information. Issued in 15.05.1946. Dimensions: 98 х 54 mm. Watermark: 'triangles'. Without serial number.
Banknote put in circulation in 15.05.1946, withdrawn from circulation from 28.10.1950 to 08.11.1950.

In the center there is the face value 20 in vignette, over it there is the face value in three lines: 20 DWADZIEŚA ZŁOTYCH, beneath there is the text: WARSAWA 15 MAJA 1946 ROKU and three signatures of The Bank of Poland directorate. In the bottom part of the note there is 7 digit serial number in right-angled frame. To the left and to the right there is vertical vignettes with face value 20 ZŁ. In the left allonge there is face value 20 in vignette.
Back side: 3/4 of left side of the background is ornamented, in each corner there is face value 20 in vignette. In the center there is image of airplane, above it – face value in two lines: DWADZIEŚA ZŁOTYCH. In the bottom part of the note there is issuer information.
Issued in 15.05.1946. Dimensions: 158 х 84 mm. Watermark: 'geometrical figures, letters W'. 7 digit serial number, red color, the series is designated by one letter.
There are:
– The height of letters of series 3 mm, the series is designated by letter A or B.
– The height of letters of series 4 mm.
