BANKNOTES OF REPUBLIC OF POLAND. 1948.

In 1950, new notes (dated 1948), were introduced for 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 500 złotych.

Description: Face side: 3/4 of right side of the background is ornamented, in each corner there are three-cornered vignettes. On the left and the right there is the vertical ornamented pattern with the Bank of Poland logotype (NBP) in frame. In the upper part of the note there is the inscription: NARODOWY BANK POLSKI. In the center there is the face value in two lines: DWA ZŁOTE, divided by an ornamental line. On the left – face value in oval frame, on the right – coat of arms. Beneath the face value there is the text: WARSAWA DNIA 1 LIPCA 1948 ROKU and three signatures of The Bank of Poland directorate. In the left bottom corner of the note there is 7 digit series number CF 9292203. In the bottom part of the note there is the face value in one line: 2 ZŁOTE 2. In the left allonge there is face value 2 in vignette.
Back side: 3/4 of left side of the background is ornamented, in each corner there is the face value 2 in square. In the upper part of the note there is inscription: DWA ZŁOTE, in the bottom part – there is the issuer information. In the center there is the rectangle with picture of an building, on the left and on the right – there is ornament.
Issued in 01.07.1948. Dimensions: 120 õ 58 mm. Watermark: 'geometrical figures'. 7 digit series number, red color, the series is designated by two letters (CF only).
