issued by Rentenbank in 1923 – 1924.
The first coins with date '1923' are issued in October, 8 1923. The coins of Rentenbank with dates of issue after 1924 were not issued in the circulation officially, because all right of coins strike were transferred to Reichsbank in the end of 1924. These coins are very rare and are on sale from auctions under the fabulous prices.
Monetary system: 1 Rentenmark = 100 Rentenpfennig (issued since 8.11.1923).

Denomination: 1 Rentenpfennig
Year: 1924
Material: Bronze
Description: Obverse: Face value '1' in the circle. Overhead the composition there is a semicircular inscription: DEUTSCHES REICH * RENTENPFENNIG *.
Reverse: In the center of a coin a sheaf of wheat between figures of a date of issue, under a sheaf – mint mark 'A' (variants: A, D, E, F, G, J).
Reddish bronze (Cu 95%, Sn 4%, Zn 1%). Diameter – 17.5 mm. Weight – 2 g. Edge – smooth, thickness 1 mm. Mintage: 80 864 000. Mint mark – Berlin (À).
This type of coin has been struck in 1923 – 1925, 1929. Withdrawn from circulation since 28.02.1942.

Description: Obverse: Face value '2' in the circle. Overhead the composition there is a semicircular inscription: DEUTSCHES REICH * RENTENPFENNIG *.
Reverse: In the center of a coin a sheaf of wheat between figures of a date of issue, under a sheaf – mint mark 'A' (variants: A, D, E, F, G, J).

Material: Aluminium-bronze alloy
Description: Obverse: Face value '5' in a rhombus with four oak leaves. Overhead the composition there is a semicircular inscription: DEUTSCHES REICH * RENTENPFENNIG *.
Reverse: Six crossed ears on a horizontal line, under a line – year of issue, above ears – mint mark 'J' (variants: A, D, E, F, G, J).
Diameter – 18 mm. Weight – 2.5 g. Edge – raised, thickness 1.4 mm. Mintage: 32 332 000. Mint mark – Hamburg (J).
This type of coin has been struck in 1923 – 1924.

Diameter – 21mm. Weight – 4 g. Edge – raised, thickness 1.6 mm. Mintage: 169 956 000. Mint mark – Berlin (À).
This type of coin has been struck in 1923 – 1925.
