Description: The commemorative banknote of 2004 isued to the 20th anniversary of the National Bank of the Ukraine.
Face side: The portrait of Mikhail Hrushevskyi (1866 – 1934), a famous Ukrainian historian, public figure and publicist. At the left part there is a hologram with an inscription in three lines: 'НБУ 20 РОКІВ' (NBU 20 YEARS). When the banknote is held at different angles, the inscription changes color from golden to green.
Back side: The building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in Kyiv. The both sides the banknote are decorated with national ornaments.
2011. Dimensions: 136 х 72 mm. The predominant color is violet.
The banknote was printed on special tones paper with its main color corresponding to the predominant color of the banknote. It is non-fluorescent paper with a multi-tone local watermark, light watermark element, double-tone watermark (bar-code), security thread and security fibers. The note also has see-through element; relief printing; symbol for the partially sighted; raised elements; latent image; microtext; rainbow printing; antiscanning grid; serial number; fluorescent number.
