Obverse: In a center there is a National arms above denomination: four Indian lions on round abaca, decorated images four animals, symbolizing the sides of world (Leo is a North, Elephant is the East, Horse is a South and Bull is a West (Horse and Elephant is visible only). Inscriptions: on the left – in Hindi, on the right – in English: INDIA RUPEES, above the coat of arms is a denomination – 2.
Reverse: In a center there is portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (31.10.1875 – 15.12.1950) – political and state leader of India; playing an important role in a fight for independence of country. Circular inscription in Hindi and English: SARDAR VALLABHBHAI PATEL, under a portrait – year of issue.
