Description: Commemorative coin 'Viacheslav Chornovil'. 'Outstanding Personalities of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to Viacheslav M.Chornovil, the outstanding state and public figure, the famous journalist, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the first and third convocation and the Hero of Ukraine.
Obverse: The composition symbolizing the national idea of Unification of Ukraine: the Small State Emblem of Ukraine in circumference of vegetable ornamentation which is supported by a lion and a Cossack holding a musket. There are also conventionalized inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2 ГРИВНІ, 2003 and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: There is a portrait of V.M. Chornovil and around the coin circumference there are circular inscriptions: В'ЯЧЕСЛАВ ЧОРНОВІЛ and his years of life: 1937 – 1999 (beneath).
Weight – 12.8 g., diameter – 31.0 mm., edge – incised. Artists: Aleksander Ivakhnenko, Sviatoslav Ivanenko; sculptors: Vladymyr Demyanenko, Sviatoslav Ivanenko.
Put in circulation since February 28, 2003. Mintage: 30 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Commemorative coin 'Boxing'. 'Sport' series. The coin is dedicated to the XXVIII Summer Olympic Games, which are to take place in Athens (Greece) in 2004.
Obverse: Within a square there is a depiction of an allegoric scene of the Olympic Games opening: two female figures in tunics are holding in the hands a cup with the Olympic flame and laurel twigs – the symbol of peace. Around the square the small State Emblem of Ukraine is depicted (above), as well as inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (above), 2 ГРИВНІ (beneath), 2003 (two figures is depicted to the left and two others – to the right), and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: Within a square there is a depiction of a boxer wearing a helmet. Around the square there are the following inscriptions: ІГРИ / XXVIII ОЛІМПІАДИ (above), OLYMPIC GAMES / XXVIII (beneath), АФІНИ 2004 (left), ATHENS 2004 (right).

Description: Jubilee coin 'Vladymyr Vernadskiy'. 'Outstanding Personalities of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to Vladymyr Vernadskiy (12.03.1863 – 06.01.1945), a famous natural scientist and thinker; the founder of such modern sciences about the Earth, as geochemistry and biochemistry, an academician and the first president of the All-Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (1919). His ideas played an great role in formation of the present-day scientific picture of the world and his doctrine on interrelation of the nature and the society influenced the formation of contemporary ecological perception.
Obverse: There is a depiction of the Earth, the cradle of mankind, above it there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2003 (above, in semicircle) 2 ГРИВНІ (beneath), and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: There is a portrait of Volodymyr I.Vernadskyi (right); around the coin circumference there are inscription: В.І. ВЕРНАДСЬКИЙ (left) and 1863 – 1945, his years of life made in two lines.

Description: Commemorative coin 'BISON BONASUS'. 'Flora and Fauna of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to BISON BONASUS, an almost completely destroyed representative of artiodactyl species in the fauna of Ukraine. Its population is successfully reproduced in Ukraine since 1965. This species is included to the Ukraine Red Book and to the Red Book of Europe.
Obverse: Within the window frame, formed by depictions of various species of flora and fauna there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine is depicted and the four-line inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2, ГРИВНІ, 2003 and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: There is a bison depiction, around which there are circular inscriptions: ЗУБР (above) and BISON BONASUS (beneath).

Description: Jubilee coin 'Vladymyr Korolenko'. 'Outstanding Personalities of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to Vladymyr Korolenko (27.07.1853 – 25.12.1921), a writer, publicist, public figure and humanist. The writer's life and creative work is closely associated with the Ukrainian people and its culture.
Obverse: An open book is depicted, above which there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (above in semicircle), 2003, 2 ГРИВНІ (beneath), as well as the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: There is a portrait of V. Korolenko and on both sides – the four-line inscription: ВОЛОДИМИР (left), КОРОЛЕНКО (right) and 1853 – 1921, his years of life (beneath in two lines).
