Description: Commemorative coin 'On the Edge of Millenniums'. The coin is dedicated to entering into the third millennium, which is associated among the peoples of planet with expectations for peace, understanding between peoples, for better life, where harmony and prosperity will reign.
Obverse: On the glass background within the internal ring there is a depiction of the spirals forming an egg and symbolizing a powerful breath, which life gives to all things joining them together; human life spiral, spiral motion, constant address of a human thought to spiral system. Within the external ring, above there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, the circular inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 5, ГРИВЕНЬ, 2001 and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: Within the internal ring there is a depiction of a Mother-woman with a baby – symbolizing continuity and never-ending of life; within the external ring there is a depiction of a symbolic star, around the circle there is an inscription: НА МЕЖI ТИСЯЧОЛIТЬ.
Bimetal. Metal of insert – 'golden Nordic'; metal of ring – cupronickel. Weight – 9,5 g., diameter – 28.0 mm., edge – with milled sectors. Artist: Nykolay Kochoubey; sculptor: Roman Chaikovskiy.
Put in circulation since March 7, 2001. Mintage: 50 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Jubilee coin '10 Years of the National Bank of Ukraine'. The coin is dedicated to the central bank of Ukraine, the only issuing centre of the state, carrying out consistent monetary policy and securing the efficient functioning of the state banking system and stability of the national monetary unit, Hryvnia.
Obverse: Between two ornamental slits there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine and the four line inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2001, 5, ГРИВЕНЬ and the depiction of the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: There is the facade depiction of the bank capital building (architects: O.Kobelev and O.Verbytskiy) above which the logo of the National Bank of Ukraine is depicted and the circular inscription: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE) and beneath, in two lines: 10 РОКІВ.
Weight – 16.54 g., diameter – 35.0 mm., edge – incised. Artists: Sergey Beliyaev, Vladymyr Demyanenko; sculptors: Svyatoslav Ivanenko and Vladymyr Demyanenko.
Put in circulation since March 29, 2001. Mintage: 50 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Jubilee coin 'Ostroh Academy'. The coin is dedicated to Ostroh academy, the first Ukrainian high level school founded by V.K.Ostrozhskiy in 1576. The Slavic, Greek and Latin languages were taught in the high school, as well as the so-called free sciences (Grammar, Arithmetics, Rhetoric, Logics, etc. The writer H.D.Smotrytskiy was its first rector and the famous scientist and writer M.Smotrytskiy and hetman Petro Sahaidachniy were among the high school graduates. Ostroh academy was closely linked to the printing-house, where works of the school tutors were printed and in 1581 Ivan Fedorov printed here the Ostroh Bible.
Obverse: In the upper part there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine and beneath there are depictions: printing attributes: a galley, printing-press and a cutting tool – to the right and a roll with a seal and an inkstand – to the left and the four line inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 5, ГРИВЕНЬ, 2001 and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: In the centre of the composition there is a depiction of a teacher and students; on the background there are Round tower and church outlines. The general background combining this picture is the first page of the Ostroh ABC book printed at Ivan Fedorov's printing house; to the left there is the family emblem of the prince Vasyl K.Ostrozhskiy and a semicircular inscription: ОСТРОЗЬКА АКАДЕМІЯ, and beneath, there is the Academy foundation date – 1576.

Description: Jubilee coin '10 years of Ukraine Independence'. The coin is dedicated to the 10th Anniversary of adoption of the Act on Ukraine Independence by Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on August 24, 1991.
Obverse: Within the beads circumference there is a depiction of a crowned with a wreath composition, embodying the idea of Ukraine unification: the small State Emblem of Ukraine enframed with a vegetable ornamentation is supported by a lion and a Cossack holding a musket. Around the coin circumference there are inscriptions: on the golden coin: УКРАЇНА, 5 ГРИВЕНЬ, 2001 р. and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: Within the beads circumference upon the background of the map of Ukraine there is a depiction of the structure of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and circular inscriptions: 10 РОКІВ НЕЗАЛЕЖНОСТІ УКРАЇНИ, 1991 · 2001 (10 YEARS OF UKRAINE INDEPENDENCE, 1991 · 2001).

Description: Juibilee coin '1100 Years of Poltava'. The coin is dedicated the 1100th anniversary of Poltava, the southern outpost of Kyivan Rus, one of the centres of the Dniper left bank, the cradle of Cossackhood and an important place in the cultural life of Ukraine.
Obverse: Within the frame of vegetable ornamentation and outline of a heraldic shield there depicted the small State Emblem of Ukraine, inscriptions: 2001, УКРАЇНА, 5, ГРИВЕНЬ and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse: In the coin upper part there is a panoramic picture of famous historic and architectural monuments of the city; in its lower – the city coat of arms within the frame of vegetable ornamentation, as well as inscriptions: ПОЛТАВА (POLTAVA), (above) and 1100 РОКІВ (1100 YEARS) (beneath).
