Description: Series: 'Russian Ballet. 'The Nutcracker'. Obverse: The two-headed eagle designed by artist I. Bilibin. The inscriptions along the rim: at the top: 25 РУБЛЕЙ 1996 г. (25 RUBLES 1996), at the bottom: БАНК РОССИИ (BANK OF RUSSIA). The letters below indicate the metal sign, the fineness, the fine metal content and the mint trademark. Reverse: The scene from the Christmas tree ball in Act One, the inscription along the rim: ЩЕЛКУНЧИК (THE NUTCRACKER). 900 standard silver. Diameter – 60.00 mm, total weight– 173.29 g., Fine metal content – 155.5 g. Thickness– 6.80 mm, edge – incised. Mintage: 5 000. Artist and sculptor: A.V. Baklanov. The coin was struck at the Moscow Mint (ММД).
