Description: Jubilee coin 'Kyiv Psalmbook'. The jubilee coin is dedicated to the sixth centenary of the outstanding monument of the national culture (1397).
Obverse: The Small State Emblem of Ukraine is depicted over an open ancient book. Above, along the circumference, there is a stylized inscription УКРАЇНА; underneath, there is a two line inscription 100 ГРИВЕНЬ. At the left and at the right there is a legend: 1997, coin issue year, designation of precious metal and its pure weight.
Reverse: Against a background of a three column arcade, the following is depicted: Jesus Christ within a circumference with abbreviations: IC – XC, the biblical King David, the Kyivan scribe Spyrydoniy – protodeacon, and a fragment of a Church Slavonic text. Above, along the circumference there is the stylized inscription: КИЇВСЬКИЙ ПСАЛТИР (KYIV PSALMBOOK), beneath – the date: 1397.
900 gold. Weight – 15.55 g., diameter – 25.00 mm., edge – smooth. Artist: Sergii Belyaev, sculptors: Volodymyr Demyanenko (obverse), Roman Chaykovsky (reverse).
Put in circulation since January 22, 1998. Mintage: 2 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Jubilee coin 'Aeneid'. The coin is dedicated to 200th anniversary since the first publication of 'Aeneid' poem by Ivan Kotlyarevsky (1769 – 1838), the founder of the new Ukrainian literature.
Obverse: There is a depiction of the Small State Emblem of Ukraine, surrounded by the antique and Cossack attributes: two lyres, a helmet, a sabre, a flask and a quiver with arrows. On the coin there are the following inscriptions: УКРАЇНА and 1998 ( above); 100 ГРИВЕНЬ, designation of precious metal and its pure weight (underneath, in two lines).
Reverse: There is the composition, consisting of grotesque images: Aeneid and Didona, the heroes of the poem, standing near the central figure of the Cossack playing bandura (a folk Ukrainian instruments) on the background of a landscape. On the coin there are the following inscriptions: ЕНЕЇДА (AENEID) above; І.КОТЛЯРЕВСЬКОГО (I. KOTLYAREVSKY) and 200 РОКІВ (200 YEARS) underneath, in three lines.

Description: Commemorative coin 'St.Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral'. The coin is dedicated to the restoration of St.Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral, historical and architectural monument of Rus-Ukraine of 12th – 18th centuries.
Obverse: Within a frame reproducing the vegetal ornamental pattern of the Eucharist mosaic from the cathedra, there is a depiction of the Small State Emblem of Ukraine and a four line legend: УКРАЇНА, 100 ГРИВЕНЬ, designation of precious metal and its pure weight.
Reverse: Against a background of the picture of St.Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral, there are silhouettes of the twelve apostles from the symbolic communion scene of the Eucharist mosaic. On the coin there is a legend: МИХАЙЛІВСЬКИЙ ЗОЛОТОВЕРХИЙ СОБОР XII СТ. (ST.MICHAEL'S GOLDEN-DOMED CATHEDRAL. XII CENTURY).
900 gold. Weight – 15.55 g., diameter – 25.00 mm., edge – smooth. Artists: Vladymyr Taran, Aleksander Kharuk, Sergei Kharuk and Vitaliy Kozachenko; sculptors: Vladymyr Demyanenko (obverse), Vladymyr Atamanchuk (reverse).
Put in circulation since December 28, 1998. Mintage: 3 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Commemorative coin 'The Kyiv-Pechersk Assumption Cathedral'. The commemorative coins are dedicated to restoration of the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery, the outstanding historical and cultural monument of Ukraine of the 11th – 18th centuries.
Obverse: Within a frame of a baroque-like interpreted pattern ornamental there is a depiction of the Small State Emblem of Ukraine and a four line legend: УКРАЇНА, 100 ГРИВЕНЬ, 1998, there are symbol of the precious metal and its pure weight.
Reverse: There are depictions of the Assumption Cathedral, destroyed in 1941 and around the circumference there is an inscription: УСПЕНСЬКИЙ СОБОР КИЄВО-ПЕЧЕРСЬКОЇ ЛАВРИ ХІ СТ. (THE KYIV-PECHERSK ASSUMPTION CATHEDRAL. XI CENTURY).
