Description: Commemorative coin 'T.H. Shevchenko'. The coin is dedicated to Taras Shevchenko, the outstanding Ukrainian poet, artist and thinker (1814 – 1861).
Obverse: There is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine in the middle of the beads circumference decoration, framed with guelder-rose sprays. Above the State Emblem there is the year of issue. Around the coin circumference there are inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (UKRAINE) – above and – 200 ГРИВЕНЬ underneath in two lines.
Reverse: In the center there is a portrait of T.H. Shevchenko with a poet's autograph under it. Near the portrait there is a singing Kobzar with a boy-guide near a village house. Above around the coin circumference there is the inscription: Т.Г. ШЕВЧЕНКО 1814 – 1861 (T.H. SHEVCHENKO 1814 – 1861), underneath there are metal designations and coin's pure weight.
900 gold. Weight – 15.55 g., diameter – 25.0 mm., edge – plain. Artists: Alexander Ivakhnenko (obverse) and Sergii Minenok (reverse), sculptors: Krista Raiter (obverse) and Andreas Tsanashka (reverse).
Put in circulation since March 12, 1997. Mintage: 10 000.
The mintage of 2 000 pieces was struck at the Austrian Mint in 1996, the rest – at the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Description: Commemorative coin 'Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra'. The commemorative coin is dedicated to the outstanding architectural and historical monument of Kyiv Rus and the world known center of Ukrainian spiritual culture.
Obverse: In the middle of the beads circumference decoration, there is the depiction of Trinity Gate Church of Lavra ensemble and a fragment of its main Belfry. To its right there is a depiction of the Small State Emblem of Ukraine. Underneath around the coin circumference there are inscriptions: 200 ГРИВЕНЬ (200 HRYVNIAS) in two lines and year of issue above it. Around the coin circumference there are inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (UKRAINE) – left and КИЕВО-ПЕЧЕРСЬКА ЛАВРА (KYIV-PECHERSK LAVRA) – right.
Reverse: At the composition upper part there are fragments of murals of the Trinity Gate Church: БОГ ОТЕЦЬ, БОГ СИН, БОГ ДУХ СВЯТИЙ with relative inscriptions in old Slavic print. Under it there is the depiction of God Mother, the patroness of Zaporizhzhia Cossacks. All images are depicted upon clouds. Underneath there is the Lavra panorama from L.Tarasevich's engraving, first printed in the book 'Pateryk Pechorskiy' (1702). The picture is framed with the beads circumference decoration. On both sides of the picture there there are metal designations and coin's pure weight.
