Description: Commemorative coin 'Stork'. 'The Smallest Golden Coin' series. The coin is dedicated to a white stork, one of two species of the stork family in the fauna of Ukraine.
Obverse: Within the beads circle there is the small State emblem of Ukraine is depicted, above which there is 2004, the coin mintage year; between the beads circle and the coin rim there are circular inscriptions УКРАЇНА (above), 2 ГРИВНІ (beneath), as well as designation of metal (left), its mass and the Mint logo of the NBU (right).
Reverse: Within the beads circle there is a depiction of a stork taking wing; between the coin external rim and the beads circle there are circular inscriptions: ЛЕЛЕКА (above) CICONIA CICONIA (beneath).
999.9 gold. Weight – 1.24 g., diameter – 13.92 mm., edge – smooth. Artist and sculptor: Vladymyr Demianenko.
Put in circulation since April 23, 2004. Mintage: 10 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
