Description: Obverse: Crowned eagle with wings open (new coat of arms). Beneath eagle – year of issue. Circular inscriptions: RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA (above) and 2 ZŁOTE 2 (beneath). Under right leg of eagle – sign of Warsaw Mint.
Reverse: Woman’s head left wearing a Renaissance-inspired headdress, surrounded by rays of wheat (allegory of Poland, the design is sometimes erroneously called the 'Jadwiga' design, after a Polish queen who ruled in the late 1300s. The portrait of Janina Morstinowa).
750 standard silver. Diameter – 22 mm. Weight – 4.4 g. Edge – incised. Mintage: 9 250 000. Designer – Anton Madeiskiy.
