Kingdom of Württemberg.
KINGDOM OF WÜRTTEMBERG.
Württemberg – state in southwestern Germany, including parts of the regions Swabia and Franconia. The capital is Stuttgart.
The early countship was located in the old duchy of Swabia. Eberhard II moved the seat of his rule to Stuttgart. Württemberg became a duchy in 1495.
The duke in Stuttgart succumbed to the French advances under Napoleon. More territories were added in Swabia at the expense of Austria in 1805. Napoleon elevated the duke to the status of elector in 1803 and then to king in 1806. Württemberg joined the German Confederation, but sided with Austria in its war with Prussia in 1866. Württemberg joined the German Empire in 1871.

• Reign: 25.06.1864 – 06.10.1891 – Charles I (born: 06.03.1823 – died: 06.11.1891),
• Reign: 06.10.1891 – 30.11.1918 Wilhelm II (born: 25.02.1848 – died: 02.10.1921).
08.04.1886 Wilhelm II married Princess Charlotte of Schaumburg-Lippe.
In 1911 to 25th Anniversary of wedding have been struck commemorative coin in 3 Mark.
