Description: Commemorative coin 'Silver coin (srebrenik) of St. Vladymyr'. The coin is dedicated to 1000th anniversary of minting of Russian that was started in Х c. by Grand Duke of Kyiv Vladymyr Sviatoslavovych (the Grate).
Obverse: National arms, denomination, date of issue.
Reverse: 1000-ЛЕТИЕ ДРЕВНЕРУССКОЙ МОНЕТНОЙ ЧЕКАНКИ (1000th ANNIVERSARY OF MINTING OF RUSSIAN). The so-called 'srebrenik' – silver coin of St. Vladymyr (977 – 1015). On its obverse there were prince’s name and the Almighty. On the obverse there were the prince’s image holding three beads in the form of a cross in his right hand, above a shoulder of prince – a small patrimonial sign, the personal arms of princes Rurikovich 's family which has received the name 'trident', and the replaced arms of the state.
900 standard silver. Diameter – 39 mm., weight – 43.56 g. Edge – incised. Artist and sculptor: A.V. Baklanov. Put in circulation since 13.09.1988. Mintage: 35 000.
The coin was struck at the Moscow Mint (MMД).

Reverse: 1000-ЛЕТИЕ ДРЕВНЕРУССКОЙ МОНЕТНОЙ ЧЕКАНКИ (1000th ANNIVERSARY OF MINTING OF RUSSIAN). The so-called 'slatnik' – gold coin of St. Vladymyr (977 – 1015).
900 standard gold. Diameter – 30 мм, weight – 17.28 г. Edge – incised. Artist: A.V. Baklanov, sculptor: A.A. Kolodkin. Put in circulation since 13.09.1988. Mintage: 14 000. The coin was struck at the Moscow Mint (MMД).
