Museum of money of Feodosia >> In circulation in Ukraine >> MONEY OF HUNGARY. >> Occupation Soviet paper notes for Hungary. 1944. OCCUPATION SOVIET PAPER NOTES FOR HUNGARY, ISSUED IN THE USSR. 1944.
In 1944 were issued banknotes printed in the USSR for use in territory of the Hungary. Banknotes were introduced in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 1000 Pengö.
Soviet paper notes were in officially circulation in Zakarpatye area till the beginning of 1945. 28.01.2010.

Denomination: 1 Pengö
Year: 1944
Description: Face side: The background of the note is ornamented (vertical wavy lines), with narrow white margins. In the center part of the ornamented background there is inscription: AVöröshadsereg Parancsnoksága (The Red Army command), below face value: EGY PENGÖ, to the left and to the right – face value 1 and vignettes. Under face value in three lines – information about emission and warning about punished for falsification of banknotes. In the upper and bottom part of the note – 6 digit serial number ÂÐ 163393.
Back side: The background of the note is ornamented (vertical pattern), with narrow white margins. In the central part there is rectangle with inscription in two lines: AVÖRÖSHADSEREG / PARANCSNOKSÁGA, below face value: EGY PENGÖ. Above – face value 1 in rhombus, below – year of issue '1944' in rhombus. To the left and to the right – face value 1 in oval frame.
Issued in 1944. Printed in USSR. Dimensions: 140 õ 70 mm. 6 digit serial number, red color, the series is designated by two capital letters.
In Zakarpatye Ukraine the banknote was in circulation from September 23, 1944 till the beginning of 1945.
There is the banknote of the same design without serial number.

At the top and in the each corner of the ornamented background – face value 10.
Back side: The background of the note is ornamented. In the central part there is oval with semicircular inscription: AVÖRÖSHADSEREG / PARANCSNOKSÁGA and face value: TÍZ PENGÖ. In the center of oval – face value: TÍZ. At the top and in the each corner of the ornamented background – face value 10 in vignette.
Issued in 1944. Printed in USSR. Dimensions: 164 õ 81 mm. 6 digit serial number, red color, the series is designated by two capital letters.
