OCCUPATION SOVIET PAPER NOTES FOR POLAND, ISSUED IN THE USSR. 1944.

These paper notes were printed by the Soviet Goznak for use in territory of the Poland. The banknotes have word 'Obowiazkowym", not 'Obowiazkowe' like the banknotes of the Polish issue.

Description: Face side: The background has an ornamental frame, in the upper corners there are a flowers, between its there is inscription: NARODOWY BANK POLSKI. Beneath – coat of arms, under it – face value 50 GROSZY, beneath – issuer information. Around the face value there is ornamental pattern. In the bottom part of the frame – year of issue 1944.
Back side: In the center of not ornamented background of the note there is face value 50 GROSZY in ornamented vignette.
Issued in 1944. Printed in USSR. Dimensions: 81 х 52 mm. Watermark: 'triangles'. Without serial number.
Banknote put in circulation in 1944, withdrawn from circulation in the end of 1950.

Description: Face side: In the center part of the not ornamented background there is ornamented vignette with inscription: NARODOWY BANK POLSKI divided by the coat of arms and face value in two lines: JEDEN ZŁOTY. The left and the right of it – face value 1 in oval vignette. In the bottom part of the note there is year of issue 1944, to the left and to the right – frames. In the left frame there is the text: Przyjmowanie we wszystkich wypłatach jest obowiązkowym, in the right – issuer information. Under the both frames there is 6 digit serial number XС 415170.
Back side: In the center of not ornamented background of the note there is face value JEDEN ZŁOTY in ornamented vignette. Above it inscription: NARODOWY BANK POLSKI, to the left and to the right – face value 1 in oval vignette.
Issued in 1944. Printed in USSR. Dimensions: 135 х 66 mm. Watermark: 'triangles'. 6 digit serial number, red color, the series is designated by two capital letters.

Back side: In the center of not ornamented background of the note there is face value 2 in ornamented vignette, beneath inscription: DWA ZŁOTE. Above semicircular inscription: NARODOWY BANK POLSKI. To the left and to the right – face value 2.
