PAPER NOTES OF THE BANK OF POLAND. II ISSUE. 1925 – 1936.

The paper notes in 10 and 20 złotych (1926) and 50 złotych notes (1925) were printed in Great Britain.
The Bank of Poland issued 2 złote (1936), 5 złotych (1930), 10 złotych (1929), 20 złotych (1931 and 1936), 50 złotych (1929) and 100 złotych notes (1932 and 1934).

Description: Face side: In the left upper corner of the ornamented background – abbreviation of the Bank of Poland (BP), in the right part oh the background – woman portrait, beneath – denomination 2 in ornamented vignette. Between abbreviation and portrait there is inscription: BANK POLSKI. In the center of the note there is denomination in two lines: DWA ZŁOTE. Under it there is the text in two lines: WARSAWA D. 26 LUTEGO 1936 ROKU / PREZES BANKU and three signatures of The Bank of Poland directorate. Beneath them – 7 digit serial number AN 5498110.
Back side: In the upper corners of the ornamented background – abbreviation of the Bank of Poland (BP), beneath – inscription on frame: BANK POLSKI. In the center of the note there is the State Emblem of the Polish Republic. To the left and to the right – denomination in vignettes, beneath – issuer information. In the bottom corners – denomination, between inscription: DWA ZŁOTE.
Issued in 26.02.1936. Dimensions: 102 õ 63 mm. Watermark: 2 ZŁ. 7 digit serial number, red color, the series is designated by two letters.
There are rare paper notes without serial number.
Banknote put in circulation 26.02.1936, withdrawn from circulation since 21.12.1939.

Description: Face side: 3/4 of right side of the background is ornamented. In the each corner of the ornamented background there is denomination 5 in frame. In the right part of the background – portrait woman in circle frame, beneath – ornamented design. In the left part of the background there is inscription: Bank Polski, beneath denomination in two lines: PIĘĆ ZŁOTYCH, under it there is the text: Warsawa d. 2 stycznia 1930 r. and three signatures of The Bank of Poland directorate. In bottom part of the background there are: to the left – series Ser. EA, to the right – 7 digit serial number 2009866. In the left allonge there is watermark 'portrait of Sigismund I the Old', reigned as King of Poland in 1506 – 1548.
Back side: 3/4 of left side of the background is ornamented. In the each corner of the ornamented background there is the abbreviation of the Bank of Poland (BP) in frame. To the left and to the right sides of the background there are vertical ornamented design with figure 5 in the center. In the upper part of the note there is the coat of arms, in the bottom part – denomination: PIĘĆ ZŁOTYCH. In the center inscription: Bank Polski, beneath – PIĘĆ ZŁOTYCH, under it – issuer information.
Issued in 02.01.1930. Dimensions: 144 õ 78 mm. Watermark: 'King Sigismund I the Old' 7 digit serial number, red color, the series is designated by two letters.

Description: Face side: 3/4 of right side of the background is ornamented. In the center – there is an oval frame with two cornucopias. In the frame there is denomination in two lines: 10 / DZIESIĘĆ ZŁOTYCH / BANK POLSKI, beneath there is the text: Warsawa Dnia 20 Lipca 1929 Roku. Under it – three signatures of The Bank of Poland directorate. In the bottom part of the frame there is the coat of arms, to the left – woman with book and owl (allegory of knowledge), to the right – woman with lyre (allegory of art). In the bottom part of the note to the left – series Ser. GC, to the right – 7 digit serial number 6270370. In the left allonge there is watermark 'portrait of Bolesław I Chrobry, 992 – 1025', ruled as Duke of Poland from 992 – 1025 and as the first King of Poland in 1025.
Back side: 3/4 of left side of the background is ornamented. In the upper corners of the background there is denomination 10, in the bottom corners – two frames with issuer information. In the center of the note there three persons: woman with model of ship (allegory of commerce), man with hammer (allegory of industry) and woman with sheaf and sickle (allegory of agriculture).
Issued in 20.07.1926. Dimensions: 160 õ 80 mm. Watermark: 'King Bolesław I Chrobry, 992 – 1025' 7 digit serial number, red color, the series is designated by two letters, after letters is a dot.

Image divided by caduceus and cornucopias. Beneath – two frames with issuer information, divided by the coat of arms.
Issued in 01.03.1926. Dimensions: 170 õ 94 mm. Watermark: 'King Casimir III the Great, 20 ZŁ'. 7 digit serial number, blue color, the series is designated by two letters, after letters is a dot.
There are:
– The series is designated by one letter, after letter is a dot, signature of Stanislaw Karpinskiy as the president of the Bank of Poland.
– The series is designated by two letters, after each letter is a dot, signature of Stanislaw Karpinskiy as the president of the Bank of Poland.
– The series is designated by two letters CF, signature of Wladislaw Wroblewskiy as the president of the Bank of Poland.
Banknote with date '1926' is rare, printed in Great Britain, put in circulation 01.03.1926.
– Issued in 01.09.1929. The note were printed in Warsaw. The series is designated by two letters, after letters is a dot, signature of Wladislaw Wroblewskiy as the president of the Bank of Poland.
These notes replace by new type of 20 Zlotych note, issued in 1931.

Description: Face side: 3/4 of right side of the background is ornamented. In the upper part of the note there is inscription: BANK POLSKI, beneath – denomination 20. In the right part of the background there is an circle frame wit portrait of Countess Emilia Plater (1806 – 1831) was a revolutionary from the lands of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. She fought in the November Uprising and is considered a national hero in Poland, Belarus and also Lithuania, which were former parts of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Beneath there are hammer, plough, gear and fruits. In the central part there is denomination in two lines DWADZIEŚA ZŁOTYCH, beneath – the text WARSAWA 20 CZERWCA 1931 r. and three signatures of The Bank of Poland directorate. Under signatures – 7 digit serial number DK 6176706. In the left allonge there is watermark 'portrait of Casimir III the Great, ZŁ 20 ZŁ' ruled as the King of Poland in 1333 – 1370.
Back side: 3/4 of left side of the background is ornamented. In the upper corners there is denomination in vignettes. In the upper part of the note there is inscription: BANK POLSKI, in the bottom part – DWADZIEŚA ZŁOTYCH. In the center there is image of woman with sheaf (allegory of Poland) and two children – boy with hammer (allegory of industry) and girl with model of ship (allegory of commerce). To the left and to the right there is columns with coat of arms. Next to left column – boy with sheaf (allegory of agriculture), next to right column – boy with anchor (allegory of navigation).
Issued in 20.06.1931. Dimensions: 163 õ 86 mm. Watermark: 'King Casimir III the Great, ZŁ 20 ZŁ'. 7 digit serial number, blue color, the series is designated by two letters, height of letters – 2.6 – 3.5 mm, height of fugures – 3 mm.
Banknote put in circulation 20.06.1931, withdrawn from circulation since 21.12.1939.
