Description: Commemorative coin 'Pavel Polubotok'. 'Heroes of Cossak Age' series. The coin is dedicated to Pavel Polubotok (about 1660 – 1724), the appointed Hetman of the left-bank Ukraine, who headed the Ukrainian elders assembly and opposed restrictions to the self-government of Ukraine. He advocated restoration of Hetman ruling in Ukraine and liquidation of Minor-Russian collegium. He for arrested for organization of opposition and was imprisoned in Peter and Paul fortress, where he died. He was interred in St.Petersburg.
Obverse: There is a depiction of the general for this series composition symbolizing the national idea of Unification of Ukraine: the emblematic figures of the Holy Michael Archistrategos, the patron of Kiev and the crowned lion of L'viv principality hold the Small State Emblem of Ukraine. There are as well conventionalized inscriptions: УКРАЇНА / 2003 / 10 / ГРИВЕНЬ, the Mint logo of the NBU, the designation of metal and its pure weight.
Reverse: Within the frame of a bead circle, there is a half-length portrait of Pavlo Polubotok and to the right there is Polubotok's coat of arms. Above, between the external rim of the coin and the bead circle, there is a conventionalized inscription: ПАВЛО ПОЛУБОТОК and beneath – 1660 – 1724, his years of life.
925 standard silver. Weight – 33.1 g., diameter – 38.61 mm., edge – incised. Artist: Aleksander Ivakhnenko; sculptors: Anzhey Novakowski, Vladymyr Demianenko.
Put in circulation since January 29, 2003. Mintage: 3 000. The coin was struck at the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Description: Commemorative coin 'Boxing'. 'Sport' series. The coin is dedicated to the XXVIII Summer Olympic Games, which are to take place in Athens (Greece) in 2004.
Obverse: Within a square there is a depiction of an allegoric scene of the Olympic Games opening: two female figures in tunics are holding in the hands a cup with the Olympic flame and laurel twigs – the symbol of peace. Around the square the small State Emblem of Ukraine is depicted (above), as well as inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (above), 10 ГРИВЕНЬ (beneath), 2003 (left) and designation of metal, its pure weight and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: Within a square there is a depiction of a boxer wearing a helmet. Around the square there are the following inscriptions: ІГРИ / XXVIII ОЛІМПІАДИ (above), OLYMPIC GAMES / XXVIII (beneath), АФІНИ 2004 (left), ATHENS 2004 (right).

Description: Commemorative coin 'BISON BONASUS'. 'Flora and Fauna of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to BISON BONASUS, an almost completely destroyed representative of artiodactyl species in the fauna of Ukraine. Its population is successfully reproduced in Ukraine since 1965. This species is included to the Ukraine Red Book and to the Red Book of Europe.
Obverse: Within the window frame, formed by depictions of various species of flora and fauna there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine is depicted and the four-line inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 10, ГРИВЕНЬ, 2003, designation of metal, its pure weight and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: There is a bison depiction, around which there are circular inscriptions: ЗУБР (above) and BISON BONASUS (beneath).

Description: Commemorative coin 'Easter Holiday'. 'Ritual Festivals of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to one of the greatest holiday in the Christian religion which is accompanied by all-night service, ceremonial religious processions, ringing of church bells and singing songs, glorifying Jesus Christ.
Obverse: There is a composition made of seven Easter eggs decorated with ornamental patterns of various regions of Ukraine. In the middle of the composition there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, above which there is the coin mintage year; Surrounded by a conventionalized pussy-willow ornamentation there are inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 10, ГРИВЕНЬ, as well as designation of metal, its pure weight, and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: There is a multi-figured composition (solemn coming out of a church headed by a priest and carrying the shroud of Christ, crosses, gonfalons and candles) representing the traditional ceremony of consecration above which there is the inscription: ВЕЛИКДЕНЬ (EASTER).

Description: Commemorative coin 'Genoese Fortress in the town of Sudak'. 'Architectural Monuments of Ukraine' series. The coin is dedicated to the distinguished middle-age fortified structure of 14th - 15th centuries located in the former capital of Soldai consulate of the city of Genoa in Crimea – Sudak. The fortress majestic ramparts and towers had been constructed during 100 years and now belong to the most attractive world monuments.
Obverse: The fortress plan is depicted, in the centre of which on the background of a conventionalized ornamentation there is a two-lined inscription: 10 ГРИВЕНЬ; on both sides there are figures of a warrior with an arbalest (right) and a wine-grower (left); to the left there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (above), 2003 (left); beneath there is a designation of metal, its pure weight and the Mint logo of the NBU.
Reverse: The fortress is depicted on which background, beneath the dates: 14th – 15th cc are depicted, between which there is a heraldic board with emblems (of Genoa doge, Genoese republic and consulate) which decorate one of the fortress towers. Left of the fortress there is a merchant ship and circular inscriptions: СУДАК (above, left) and ГЕНУЕЗЬКА ФОРТЕЦЯ (beneath).
