SOUVENIR COINS SET OF UNITED KINGDOM.

Inspirational new designs for the United Kingdom coinage were first unveiled in 2008.
The designs had been chosen from over 4 000 entries in an open competition and, in a bold concept unprecedented in British coinage, six coins unite to reveal a single image – the Royal Arms. The result is a daring set of contemporary coins strongly rooted in tradition.
Each coin of coin designs for the 1 p, 2 p, 5 p, 10 p, 20 p and 50 p features a section of the Royal Arms (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales); united, therefore and carefully arranged in the correct order, they make up the complete Royal Arms.
The Royal Arms nave featured on the coinage of every monarch since the reign of Edward II (1327 – 1377), his gold nobles depicting the King standing in a ship with the Royal Arms prominently displayed on his shield.
The new reverses for the coinage of the United Kingdom, including the new rendition of the Royal Arms on the ₤ 1 coin, therefore reflect centuries of numismatic tradition.
For other coins in this set are celebrating Great Britain History.
Each coin in this collection features the portrait of the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS. All coins in this collection have been struck to Brilliant Uncalculated quality.
This coin pack is subject to an issue limit of 100 000.
