Description: The coin is dedicated to the forthcoming XXII Olympic Games in Moscow (Russia) in 1980.
Obverse: National arms, denomination.
Reverse: ИГРЫ XXII ОЛИМПИАДЫ. МОCКВА. 1980. Scenes of Kiev – the capital of Ukraine. At the top – Emblem of Moscow Olympiad, at the bottom there is the inscription – 'КИЕВ' (KIEV), below the date '1977' and the mint trademark.
900 standard silver. Diameter – 33 mm, weight – 16.67 g. Edge – Incised. Put in circulation since 1977. Artist: Lukijanov; sculptors: Y.А. Komchilov, P.К. Potapov (obverse), Nikolay Nosov (reverse). Mintage: 371 174.
The coin was struck at the Leningrad Mint (ЛMД).
